But in the end, Meghan not only organized her closet, but found a great excuse to go shopping.

You’re not kidding. Luckily, maintaining the order isn’t difficult once you have a system. Thanks for the reminder that you’re never truly finished organizing. It’s an ongoing task.

    Jaysato,

Thanks so much! Wooden hangers work just as well. The only reason clear ones are suggested is because they don’t block the colors of the clothes, which allows you to easily scan what you have. But you’re not alone, many people prefer the beauty of wood hangers.

    Thanks again!

    Meghan

youre cute. thanks for the informative video. i used wooden coat hangers for my clothes. i think it was from the old Queer Eye show i learned from on tv few years ago.

I have a habit of consistencies. So the hangers work well.

Haha… I don’t know if I’d say I’m proud. How can I be proud when it’s so easy. Once you have the system set up, it just works like magic. You basically do nothing — which is so nice. And yes, I love opening up my closet now. It’s so relaxing and inviting. It makes getting dressed fun.

Feel free to ask me any question. I’ll always answer! Thanks so much for commenting. I truly appreciate it. — Meghan

    You don’t need to …
You don’t need to hire a professional “organiser” to organise your closet space. It should be pretty much common sense for a person who has limited space for their wardrobe.

Wow… you should be proud of yourself then! I mean if your not a naturally neat person and you can keep your closet that nice for so long! great for you! Do you feel more relaxed now when your closet is organizied? After wathing you video I got rid of all the things in my closet that don`t wear anymore! Thanks for posting it and thanks for the answer!

Thank you. It’s been about six months since I cleaned out my closet for the video, and it still looks the same. I can’t believe it. And trust me, I’m not a naturally neat person. The methods I learned just work that well. But I do agree with you. I need a bigger closet as well!!! I think everyone does.

I just got rid of all my uncomfortable and outdated shoes. I thought I “needed” them, but who needs shoes she never wears?

I also thought my closet was REALLY streamlined, then I rememembered it’s because all my clothes are at the cleaners. Is that a valid tip? Or is that cheating?

  18. totallybarefoot Says:

    Crystal hangers …
Crystal hangers snag and tear gentle fabrics, break, crack, and do terrible things. Wood is the way to go. It’s really easy to put hair elastics over to hold spaghetti straps.

Are moms not teaching these things anymore? Gosh my mother is an expert at this stuff.

Although I disagree on the crystal hangers. Wooden hangers work very well and hold heavy pants very well. They can be expensive, but it s worth it
