Have an attitude of gratitude? You can face any challenge or roadblock with a positive perspective.

To trigger your consciousness of things you are grateful for, take some time to think about:

1. Did anyone help you today?
Take a few minutes to send a thank you — email, text or greeting card. Did you get a new client via a referral? Did a customer agree to a presentation meeting?

2. Who do you value knowing?
Take a moment to show gratitude for those exceptional people in your life. This list includes relatives, associates, customers, clients, etc. Maintaining an attitude of gratitude can attract more things into your life for you to be grateful.

3. What do you value having?
Write a list of things for which you are thankful. This listing may include your life, your healthiness, your security, your work, your clients, etc. Writing this list will help you focus on your blessings and help you maintain an attitude of gratitude.

4. What happened today that you are grateful for?
Did something special happen today? Did you have a powerful coaching call? Did someone attend a special event (teleseminar, webinar, tweetup, or personal function) you held?

Tom Hopkins and Mary Kay Ash are two notable examples of entrepreneurs who feel that showing gratitude to their customers helped them become successful.

According to the Law of Reciprocity, once a person receives something from another, they feel obligted to give something back. So, you can be content knowing that they will probably pass on the act of kindness to someone else.

Taking the time to show gratitude to your clients will develop loyalty, boost retention, and increase profits.

When you show gratitude for all the wonderful people and things in your life, you can more easily deal with life’s challenges. When you do face challenges, take a moment to consider everything you are grateful for. Perhaps keeping a gratitude journal can help you refer to these easily.
